Media Release: Police honoured for their service to the region

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan has congratulated the 31 police officers and staff who were honoured with medals and awards at the New England Police District medal and awards ceremony.

Mr Moylan attended the ceremony on Thursday alongside New England Police District Superintendent Chris McKinnon, Western Region Assistant Commissioner Andrew Holland APM, local police officers, their friends and family and representatives from Northern Tablelands councils.

The 31 officers were recognised for outstanding service and bravery with national and NSW medals and certificates.

Mr Moylan recognised the achievements of the award recipients, and the wider police force.

“Being a police officer can be both a challenging and rewarding career,” Mr Moylan said.

“Today we incredible stories of exceptional courage and commitment shown by police officers within the New England region.

“I would personally like to thank the police for all the work they do in our communities and congratulate those who have been recognised for their service.

“We are very fortunate to have such dedicated police serving in our communities.”
