Media Release: Hospital plans on public display for community feedback

Tuesday, 14 October 2025

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan is encouraging the community to make a submission on the Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment with the Review of Environmental Factors paper on public display.

The hospital is undergoing a $50 million redevelopment which will see new and upgraded infrastructure including a new acute services building, an expanded emergency department, new ambulance station, improved parking and drop-off zones, upgraded medical facilities and better staff and support areas.

Mr Moylan said by reviewing the planning documents and submitting feedback, the community can have input into shaping the new and improved Glen Innes Hospital.

“It is great to finally see progress being made on the Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment with plans on display for the public to view and respond to,” he said.

“Staff, patients and the community are encouraged to get involved and take part in the community consultation process through viewing the plans and attending the public information sessions in November.

“Those of us living in the bush deserve to have the same access to healthcare that our city counterparts do so please put forward your ideas to help form these improvements.”

Information sessions are on Wednesday, 5 November 2025 at 1pm to 6.00pm Glen Innes Hospital Lecture Room (top floor) and Thursday, 6 November 2025 – 8am to 1pm Highlands Hub, 167 Grey Street.
