Builder appointed for Glen Innes Hospital upgrade

Friday, 13 February 2026

Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan has welcomed the appointment of a builder for the $50 million Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment, an important milestone for the community.

TCQ Construction, based in Sydney, has been engaged as the builder to deliver the main works for the Glen Innes Hospital Redevelopment following a competitive tender process.

The project will deliver a modern new acute services building, including a bigger emergency department, improved medical imaging, better ambulance access and a new main hospital entrance.

Importantly, the hospital will stay open during construction, so locals can continue to access care close to home.

“Together with the wider Glen Innes community, I have been calling for the state Government to hurry up and start building and today’s announcement is a step in the right direction,” Mr Moylan said.

“The redevelopment is good news for Glen Innes and the wider Northern Tablelands. It will create local jobs, support the regional economy, and ensure our community has access to better health facilities now and into the future.

“I will continue to advocate strongly for high quality health services for our region and I will keep the community informed as the project progresses.

“We now need to get this new hospital built and make sure it is staffed properly.”
