Member for Northern Tablelands Brendan Moylan congratulated the efforts of Arts North West in securing funding for several art projects in the Northern Tablelands Electorate including programs in Armidale, Bingara and Glen Innes.
The MP welcomed the funding from the State Government’s 2026 Country Arts Support Program (CASP) which was announced earlier this week.
“It was pleasing to see that the hardworking team at Arts North West, have been successful in securing arts funding for a number of projects throughout the region,” Mr Moylan said.
“We have a fantastic depth of artistic talent right across our electorate and funding support is vital to maintain a healthy arts community.
“The funding for this electorate totals $6,500 across three projects in Armidale, Bingara and Glen Innes, including music, writing and a collaborative arts evening.
“I commend the groups receiving the funding and look forward to the events which will be offered in the near future.”
CASP funding is allocated annually as a small, targeted funding program to allow artists and organisations to bring meaningful creative experiences to the regions and small communities.
This funding will allow three projects to proceed –
• New England Bach Festival – BACH Aboard: A New England Tour – Armidale, Bingara and Glen Innes.
• New England Writers’ Centre – Programs for 2027 – Armidale-based – Central Northern Regional Library Network.
• Glen Innes Severn Couincil – Creative After Dark: Artists in Action – Glen Innes Highlands Hub.
